Giving Back for the Holidays
At Holladay Law Firm, PLLC, we consider it a privilege to give back during the holiday season. This year, our firm has donated to two different organizations: Rock Foundation Cambodia and the United Way.
Rock Foundation Cambodia is a 501c3 Christian non-profit organization that assists more than 200 extremely poor Cambodian families without land, proper housing, running water, toilets, or electricity. The organization builds homes, installs water wells for a sustainable source of clean drinking water, installs toilets, and provides medical and surgical care when necessary. In addition, they have provided thousands of kilograms of rice for the poorest families and have provided jobs and job training for more than 40 villagers.
The United Way is committed to transforming individual lives and bringing long-lasting, systemic change to tough issues, including academic success and family financial stability. United Way’s “Women Who Rock” is an event put on by the Women’s Leadership Council to salute and inspire young women. The WLC provides support in three priority areas: health and wellness, financial independence, and education. The WLC also has a Young Mother’s Daycare Scholarship which supports young moms in their efforts to pursue a post-secondary education. Since 2008, the organization has awarded more than $112,000 in scholarships.
